Vane shear device

The vane shear device is used to deter­mi­ne shear resis­tance as part of geo­tech­ni­cal field inves­ti­ga­ti­ons accor­ding to DIN 4094–4.

With this device, the soil´s resis­tance to shea­ring is deter­mi­ned through field inves­ti­ga­ti­ons in the field. This inves­ti­ga­ti­on is important to under­stand the beha­vi­or of soils under load and assess their sta­bi­li­ty.

Using the pro­vi­ded elec­tro­nic torque wrench, mea­su­re­ment results can be read on-site or saved in a data sto­rage device.

The test is limi­t­ed to water-satu­ra­ted fine-grai­ned soils.
