Drilling sets
These drilling sets are used to take largely undisturbed soil samples from up to 90 cm depth. They are particular often used for soil sampling in nutrient studies. The three shovels have matching diameters and minimize friction forces during sampling.

The drilling set S-30 is characterized by a thick-walled shovel. This set is used for stony, frozen, compacted and dry soil.

Soil-air probe S-2388
Used to extract air from the soil. Either from a defined depth of the unsaturated bottom zone or from a pre-probed drilling hole with a surface sealing.

Contaminated groundwater or soil diffuses volatiles gaseous substances into the open pore space of the surrounding soil. These volatile substances, in particular halogenated hydrocarbons, gasoline, fuels and aromatics, can be determined in the soil by sampling and analyses the soil-air. Soil-air measurement are suitable to determine the distribition of pollutants and main areas of pollutant loads. Furthermore, plumes of contaminated loads can be determined in the ground water. Leaks, pollutant drifts and sources of contamination can be detected quickly and without great effort.

The rod is driven into the ground. Afterwards the capillary probe is inserted into the rod and breaks through the airlock in the probing cone. The cone of the probe is now open. With help of a pump, soil-air can be pumped up from the surrounding soil and be captured in a test tube or directly evaluated by a measuring instrument. The airlock prevents the exchange of atmospheric air and soil-air.
